Micromouse is a robotics competition where a small autonomous robot has to find its way to the center of an unknown maze, then run it again as fast as it can. I co-lead the software for UChicago Robotics' mouse.
What I built
- Maze mapping and pathfinding with flood fill: every cell holds its distance to the goal, the mouse always steps toward a lower number, and each newly seen wall triggers a re-flood.
- The robot's core control code for real-time navigation.
- Software for the IEEE Micromouse competition at UCLA.
I also mentor new members on how to build navigation systems.
